Terms of Service

Welcome to Syberland. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Sarahtonin Secure & Technologix ("we", "us", "our") covering your use of the Syberland website, hub, game, and related content (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a free trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Syberland is

Syberland is an online cybersecurity awareness training game provided for educational and entertainment purposes. It is general education, not professional security, legal, or financial advice, and it does not guarantee any particular security outcome.

2. Your account

Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a one-click link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, for the accuracy of the name and email you provide, and for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single individual and may not be shared. You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms and is responsible for any charges.

3. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. New members may start with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically begins and renews at $12.99 per month (plus any applicable taxes) until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details. We may change pricing or features, and will give reasonable notice of price changes that affect you. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account. Cancellation and refund details are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service or anything you learn from it to attack, access, or disrupt any system without authorization; copy, resell, scrape, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as allowed by law; share your account; or interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its characters, art, text, audio, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access and use the Service while your subscription is active. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Third-party services

We rely on third parties to operate, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and data storage), and our hosting provider. Your use of the Service may also be subject to their terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the Service or update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the state in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
